Geekstone is a non-profit organization dedicated to gathering developers with an aim to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experiences and ideas related to programming. Moreover, Geekstone is a place for networking and socializing.

Geekstone

The first gatherings of the Novi Sad IT pro User Group started in late 2008 with the aim of exchanging knowledge and experience of developers from the territory of Novi Sad. In early 2013, the group was renamed into .NET User Group Novi Sad and continued with monthly meetups. In the October 2014. we took organizing an events more seriously and start making the community. Geekstone is a non-governmental organization founded in 2015 with the aim of developing the IT community.

Vision Serbia in 10 years' time as a synonym for a country providing top quality IT solutions.

Mission Raising the awareness of developers in Serbia regarding the significance of continuous development, experience exchange, quality of work through organizing lectures, workshops, trainings and conferences.

The strategy of our organization is to enable the education of developers, through high-quality lessons and lectures, and raise the quality of service provision in the IT sector in Serbia. We hope we will gain your trust!

The Quick Version

Our events are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media. Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event without a refund at the discretion of the organizers.

The Less Quick Version

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use inappropriate images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexual clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexual environment.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of staff immediately. Staff can be identified as they'll be wearing branded Geekstone t-shirts.

The staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value your attendance.

We expect participants to follow these rules at conference and workshop venues and conference-related social events.
