Happiness in IT

Working in IT is AWESOME. Or at least it should be, because you ideally get to solve interesting and important challenges using cool technologies. And when IT staff are happy at work, they are more productive and creative - exactly as they should be. Learn from one of the world's leading experts on happiness at work (who used to be a software developer and IT entrepreneur himself) what it takes to work happy in IT - and how to avoid some of the main challenges that make IT people miserable on the job.

Danilo Novakovic

As he likes to say about himself he is "a grateful human being which is given the chance to contribute on this planet". He is a founder/problem solver at "Purezeen", a small digital agency, and also co-founder of "DaFED" a community that gathers all IT people mostly from Novi Sad. He is living more in the future and glass is always half full. He usually like to say that he is doing community work to have street named by him in his city, during his lifetime. What really matters. People should work on what really makes them excited for most of the time. And it does not matter if you don't know what is your job title or whether you are senior or junior. If you like your job and that also pays your bills, you are living your dream or if not now you are on the right track.

In this modern world it is really hard to find a work-life balance. We will try to give an answer What is happiness in IT? What make us happy at work in the IT World? How do you make sure not to work too much? etc.

Nevena Nikolic

Nevena is an ASP.NET specialist, and looks forward to exploring the varied field of .NET languages available to programmers to write supported code in. She appreciates and understands the importance of client-side input, particularly aligned to Umbraco, which reflects her most elemental character traits: Communicative. Organized. And easy to work with. When she can, she engages in humanitarian and charity work, in order to raise the level of social order for those unable to do it alone. She is obsessed with the greater mysteries of the Universe, a conundrum she attempts to resolves with a little amateur stellar cartography.
