Secret Shortcuts of Loading Web Performance

In this presentation, we talk about optimizing the delivery of all files (HTML, CSS, JS, images, etc) over the Network, which our web application depends on. How to effectively watch out for our bundle size and split JS bundle into multiple chunks using techniques like lazy-loading? How do we apply advanced caching techniques with the help of Cache API and Service Workers, so we don’t ask for the same files repeatedly? How to minimize and compress files to make them as small as possible? How to handle large images in our web app? How Server Side Rendering fitting into this picture? These are just some of the questions we will answer in this talk, with many real-life examples in React so that we can boost the loading time of our app to the speed of light.

It’s All About the People - Don't be a soul sucking CEO

It’s often said, with nods of wise agreement, that any organization is nothing without its people. Countless books and courses on leadership, over many decades, address this well-known and accepted axiom. Then why are nearly 70% of all employees around the world are disengaged at work? Clearly, the conferences, books, courses, and motivational speakers are insufficient to make a difference.

Fractal architecture

Why is software development so difficult? A major reason is that you spend more time reading than writing code. If you can decrease the time required to read existing code, you can increase productivity. You can decrease the time you waste reading complicated code by writing code that's easy to read - code that fits in your head. Code should fit in your head at all levels of abstraction. At the entry point, at the business logic level, and at the lowest levels of detail. This is fractal architecture - code that is organised according to that principle of self-similarity.
